Receiver in The Canal-RIC

These are smaller than traditional BTE models but fit comfortably behind the ear. A thin wire transfers the sound into the user’s ear. These aids are discreet and lightweight and the most versatile and popular hearing aid fitting as they are easy to manoeuvre and stylish. They are suitable for most hearing loss’ ranging from mild to severe degrees of hearing loss. These types of hearing aids are fully rechargeable and do not require batteries

In The Ear-ITE-Insert

In The Ear hearing aids include both invisible in the canal and In The Canal Hearing Aids. These hearing aids are extremely discreet and sit in your ear and adjust automatically. These are most suitable for hearing loss ranging from mild to moderately severe. There is limited Bluetooth connectivity in some of these models and usually a battery is required as a power source.

Behind The Ear- BTE

This hearing aid is traditionally the most powerful and sits behind your ear. A custom mould of the patient’s ear is taken to transfer the sound into the ear. This type of hearing aid is most suitable for severe and profound degrees of hearing loss. These hearing aids can also work very well for patients with dexterity issues. This style is available in fully rechargeable and does not require batteries.

CROS/Bi-CROS

CROS & BiCROS devices are used when a patient has one ear with no useable hearing, where a hearing aid will not benefit but where the patient has one ear with normal hearing or a degree of hearing loss. A receiver sits on the poorer ear and transfers sound to the better ear. This type of aid can usually be coupled with any of the above hearing aids and help people to get 360-degree sound which helps with localisation of sound and listening in groups.

Remote Control

A hearing aid remote offers an intuitive way to discreetly adjust your hearings aids. With a remote control you can perform everyday adjustments with the click of a button.

Microphone Clip

A microphone clip allows you to hand the microphone clip to another person in extremely challenging listening environments so you can hear them clearly directly into your hearing aids. This accessory is very useful in education & work settings particularly in large rooms such as lecture halls or meetings & conferences.

TV Streamer

The TV streamer lets you stream sound directly from your TV’s audio source directly to your hearing aids. This means you won’t miss a word even if the kettle is boiling or your significant other is making noise. This can work up to a maximum range of 15 metres.

Smartphone App

Most hearing aids now come compatible with smartphone applications depending on the make and model of your phone and style of your hearing aid. These allow you to stream calls and audio content directly to your hearing aids while making volume adjustments all at the click of a button conveniently located on your phone.
