Real Ear Measurements are exactly what they sound like. A measurement taken in the patient’s ear canal in real time to verify what your hearing aids are doing in your ear canal. Because everyone’s ears are unique in size and shape REMs allow us to verify your hearing aid fitting ensuring you hear speech clearly, your hearing aids sound settings are set exactly to your specific degree of hearing loss and they also take into account the shape and size of your ears. Academic literature and research have shown improved hearing outcomes and client satisfaction is greatly improved when clinicians use REMs as part of the fitting process.
